Volunteer of the Year Award Nomination

Do you know of an outstanding volunteer or group of volunteers who has made a positive impact in our community? Supervisor Jeff Hewitt invites you to submit a nomination for the Fifth District’s 2020 Volunteer of the Year Award!

Award description:

The Volunteer of the Year Award is designed to recognize and honor those individuals and groups who have generously donated their time and talents to improving our communities. Volunteerism comes in many forms, and no act of service is too small. With the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 was a year in which our communities experienced unprecedented challenges and we saw new countless acts of service as volunteers rose to meet the needs of their neighbors. Individuals and groups across the County gave generously of their time and abilities to contribute to the betterment of their communities.

This April, in honor of National Volunteer Month, the Board of Supervisors would like to shine a light on those acts of service by recognizing a Volunteer of the Year from each of the five supervisorial districts.

Nominees for the Fifth District Volunteer of the Year Award must have completed their act of volunteerism/service during the 2020 calendar year.

  • Nominees should be 18 years of age.
  • Nominee must be a resident of the Fifth District. (Cities of: Menifee, Perris, Moreno Valley, Calimesa, Beaumont, Banning. Unincorporated communities of: Banning Bench, Cabazon, Cherry Valley, Desert Hills, Desert Hot Springs, El Nido area, Juniper Flats, Lakeview, Lakeview Mountains, Mission Springs, Nuevo, North Palm Springs, Painted Hills, Quail Lake, Reche Canyon, San Jacinto Wildlife Reserve, San Timoteo Canyon, Snow Creek, the Sovereign Nation of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, Twin Pines, West Garnet, Whitewater, Windy Point )
  • Award selection will be determined without regard to race, religion, gender, national origin, or physical/mental ability.
  • The award will be presented at the Riverside County Board of Supervisor’s meeting on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
